  In the Spence Lab, Michael is working alongside Drs. Yusoo Lee and Peggy Hsu on projects related to lung cell plasticity and early events which regulate cellular identity. Using mouse, organoid, and primary human tissue models, he works to characterize the origins of ALK+ non-small-cell lung cancer and to understand cellular relationships in the development of human airways.

Fun Fact: Michael's least favorite dessert is peach cobbler. (And for what it's worth he doesn't like apple pie either).
